B.A. in History and Japanese Language & Literature from the George Washington University in Washington, DC, USA.

Special Lecturer in Japanese Studies at Kanda University of International Studies

My research and writing has focused on political and social issues in Japan. I have also written about Japanese popular culture and American internet culture.

I am the author of Japan’s Nationalist Right in the Internet Age (2021, Routledge), a book about Japanese conservative activism relating to historical memory and territorial disputes.
